A Day to Celebrate

One year ago, today, my life turned right-side up. Rebekah and I cried out to God at the same moment on the same day...exactly nine months into our adoption journey. She asked me to love her son and from that day forward I've never stopped...

This morning, when I looked into those soulful eyes and saw that crazy hair, my heart cried out. Lord, thank you for choosing me.

You can read this day, last year, HERE.

  2. Oh, my God, Rebekah... I will never forget that post... It was the day I found your blog, and I read all of it, like a book. I cried like a baby...

I was still waiting then. I said "I hope someday I can share the same joy..."

    Now I'm a mom. :o)

    God is good.

  7. Oh my goodness. Are you serious? You are so good with dates. I can never remember special dates like this. Look at that precious baby boy. He has most certainly been chewing on his toes. Oh Rebekah, I sure love all three of you so very very much. Im glad God brought us together...and all it took was one tiny baby boy and a really big God. :)

  13. This has been an absolutely beautiful story. I have enjoyed following along, you are a very eloquent writer and I can't wait to see pictures of those big brown eyes!
So small confession, I was reading your blog since I was pregnant, my son was born in August after you brought Ty home, and in my crazy post-partum state I kept calling my son "Ty" on accident because they looked so much alike! I did that for like two weeks!
Anyways, they look much different now but I laughed when I saw this picture you posted because my son has this same outfit and just wore it yesterday! lol
